we challenge you to shape our world BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO Switzerland

OPERATIONS / MANUFACTURING MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

Developing business means developing people. At British American Tobacco, our Management Trainee Programme for graduates - The Challenge Initiative - will provide you with a balance of functional excellence, key managerial skills and a sharp commercial perspective.

The Challenge Initiative extends over approximately two years, beginning with an induction period. It will take your abilities and build on them in a commercial environment developing your functional knowledge, people management skills and business awareness.

You will gain support and encouragement from three sources:

Your coach will be your line manager, who will work with you to ensure that you are reaching the standards expected of you and getting what you need from the programme.
Your mentor will be an experienced manager from another function, who will share the benefit of his or her experience.
Other management trainees in Switzerland around the world will provide you with an invaluable network of contacts.

We take a constant interest in your progress, conducting regular appraisals and offering the support and resources you need.

We firmly believe that you should be in the driving seat. During regular discussions, your coach and mentor will encourage you to take charge of your own development and to start planning your career at British American Tobacco.

At the end of the programme, provided that you demonstrated the necessary performance and commitment, you will be appointed to your first managerial role with British American Tobacco.

From there opportunities are endless and progress can be fast. Moreover, international assignments are part of our culture; these are offered based on performance and at a time in your career when its mutually advantageous for you and for our business.
