Developing
business means developing people. At British American Tobacco, The
Challenge Initiative for graduates will provide you with a balance
of functional excellence, key managerial skills and a sharp
commercial perspective.
The
Challenge Initiative extends over approximately two years,
beginning with an induction period. It will take your abilities
and build on them in a commercial environment developing your
people management skills. Throughout, you'll benefit from regular
performance appraisals, and you'll have two constant sources of
support :
--Your coach who will be your line manager - working with you
and guiding your performance to ensure you reach the standards we
expect of you.
--Your mentor who will be an experienced manager from another
function who'll share the benefits of his or her experience and
help you achieve your personal goals.
Having
met the performance requirements, you'll be appointed to your
first managerial role.
From
there, the opportunities are endless. As you progress with us,
international assignments are common. These are offered based on
performance and at a time in your career when it's mutually
advantageous.
